ITiMS mentor and PAC member, Lutgarde Raskin, receives ISME-IWA Bio Cluster Award 2016

Professor Lutgarde Raskin recently received the ISME-IWA Bio Cluster Award 2016.

The ISME (International Society for Microbial Ecology) - IWA (International Water Association) Bio Cluster aims to inspire, facilitate and support the mutual exchange of knowledge in the field of microbial ecology research and its application for water science and management.

In order to recognize the importance of interdisciplinary research at the interface of microbial ecology and water/wastewater treatment, the IWA/ISME Bio Cluster created the ISME/IWA Bio Cluster Award. This prestigious prize rewards interdisciplinary research of unusual merit in this field. The award is biennially presented.

The award will be presented to Raskin at the 16th International Symposium on Microbial Ecology, which will take place in Montreal, Canada in August 2016.
