Hedman presents at IOHC18

ITiMS fellow, Hayden Hedman, made a big impression at the 5th International One Health Congress June 25, 2018.

Hedman speaks at IOHC18.

Hayden Hedman presented an oral talk on his dissertation work studying the spillover of antibiotic resistance from poultry to humans at the 5th International One Health Congress in Saskatoon, Canada. The meeting focused on addressing some of the most pressing infectious diseases through the intersectionality of animal, human, and environmental health. Many researchers commented on Hedman's talk as an innovative approach within this field for integrating microbial and molecular techniques with spatial statistics and qualitative work. Hayden attributes the holistic nature of his work for the systems level training that he gained through the ITiMS training program.
